After the Zombie’s Edge event on the 2.8 updates, BGMI has now finally come with its most anticipated mode ‘Ice & Snow’. Not just that, the new update brings free permanent rewards as well as a special appearance of India’s biggest superstar, Ranveer Singh.

BGMI 2.9 Update: Winter mode and permanent rewards
The BGMI 2.9 update brought new modes, rewards, in-game features, and more. This new Ice and Snow Festival event may last till December prior to Christmas Eve. Now, let’s check out the rewards, features, and modes in BGMI 2.9 update.
Play & Win Permanent Rewards
Unlike the regular temporary scheduled rewards, BGMI has upped the ante with permanent rewards for dedicated players this time. Now, simply by playing games and completing your favorite missions in Erangel, you can unlock and claim permanent rewards.
Ice & Snow Festival: A Snowy Extravaganza
The Ice & Snow Festival introduces a Frozen Kingdom theme where players can explore the new Erangle, Vikendi, and Livik covered with ice and snow with few additional features. This new mode introduces a new two-seat vehicle, Christmas Reindeerrace, which players can use to travel around the map. Aside from that, you will get a snowboard in specific locations on the map that let you to travel on both land and water.
Another exciting feature in the BGMI 2.9 update is the Ice & Snow bombing. This will replace the typical red zone bombs with snow and ice balls. Once these falling ice and snowballs hit someone, they will transform into a snowman.
Furthermore, a new weapon, the Snowblaster Gun, is introduced, which fires snow and, if hit, turns you into snowmen for 30 seconds. Snow from the gun can also be used to obscure the enemy’s view of windows and doors. This will allow you to easily push the enemy squad while avoiding window damage.
Ranveer Singh Discovery Event – Play Pure
Ranveer Singh, India’s iconic actor, has joined the battlegrounds, adding a touch of Bollywood glamour to the BGMI universe. By playing the Classic mode, you will earn event points that will allow you to unlock incredible rewards such as Ranveer-themed permanent parachutes, BP, rating protection, room cards, and more. Players can also obtain Ranveer Singh’s distinct voice and a personalised in-game picture of the actor after accumulating 3000 event points.
X-Suit Carnival
The new event also brings the X-Suit back as a golden chance. If you missed and don’t have an X-suit in your inventory, this is a great time to own them. There will be four sensational X-suits, including three classics and a mysterious newcomer.
Royal Pass RPA3
The latest Royale Pass A3, immersed in the thrilling Freaky Fiesta theme, is included in the new update. Packed with amazing rewards, including the Circus of Screams – Crossbow and an exclusive Victory Dance, RPA 3 lets you wear your cred in style.
