Apple Watch detects deadly tumour, saves user's life in US

Apple Watch saved another life by detecting a deadly tumor in a woman living in the US.

Kim Durkee had a rare, fast-growing tumour that was hindering her heart's blood supply.

Due to the presence of a tumor in her body, her heartbeats were not normal and Apple Watch showed this.

She did not take her watch seriously when it informed her about irregular heartbeat.

Upon reaching the hospital, the doctors informed her that her heart was beating erratically because of the fast-growing tumor.

"They said 'Well how did you know you had A-fib?' and I said 'Because my watch told me," Kim said.

In Apple Watch, the ECG app1 and irregular heart rhythm notification feature helps users in identifying signs of AFib.
